FUN & SPIRITUAL

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have come here today, not to join two people together,

but rather to recognize that such a joining has already taken place.

We live in a Universe governed by Natural Laws, set in place at the beginning of time by God.

All aspects of His creation are joined together.

I am joined to all of you, you are joined to the Earth,

The Earth is joined to the Solar System

and the Solar System is joined to all of Creation.

In fact, every atom is joined to every other atom, because we are all part of God's masterpiece.

Yet some things are held in greater attraction than others.

Some stars have companion stars, some elements bond naturally with others

and some people are naturally joined together.

These bondings create something that is greater than the sum of their parts.

Just as the solar system is more than a bunch of rocks with one big fire at the center, it is our home.

In this way, you are each other's home.

We are here to recognize that such a bonding has occurred.

This bonding of marriage was intended by God when He created the Universe, for it is the natural way of things.

We are here to recognize that ____and____are joined in such a way that they have become a single entity,

greater than either of them could ever be alone.

While this ceremony is for them, it is also for us.

It is our first chance to formally meet this new creation.

From this day forth, when we speak of___and____, we must all realize that there is a "he" and a "she", and also now a "them".

____,do you acknowledge before God, His Creation, and these witnesses, that you and____are joined?

That you are now One being with two side, just like a coin?

And to acknowledge that this binding is of a strength that it can never be broken,

not only in this life, but in whatever it is that may come?

____,do you acknowledge before God, His Creation and these witnesses that you and ____are joined?

That you are  now One being with two sides, just like a coin?

And to acknowledge that this binding is of a strength that it can never be broken,

not only in this life, but in whatever it is that may come?

As they have now annouced this fact to all of us, it is our duty to them and to God to recognize and accept that fact.

I will not ask if anyone opposes this binding, because we have no place or right to do so.

In any event, there is nothing to oppose, for the joining of ____and____was a fact long before we arrived here today.

I ask the witnesses, Do you acknowledge that ____and____are now joined? (Everyone says yes, we hope!)

___,Do you accept____ as your wife? Do you accept her for better or worse, for richer of poorer, in sickness and in

health, forsaking all others from now until the end of time?

___,Do you accept ____as your husband? Do you accept him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness

and in health, forsaking all others from now until the end of time?

Please repeat after me:

I,____take you____to be my wife. I promise to be a loving and faithful husband,
to love you, to support you, to protect you, and most importantly, to cherish you as the amazing person that you are, for all the days of my life. These promises are made with love, kept in faith and eternally made new.
I will be proud to be your husband.

Please repeat after me;

I____take you____, to be my husband. I promise to be a loving and faithful wife.
The moment the sun rises, you will be my first thought and when the day ends, it will be you that shares my dreams.
I will honor you, respect you and cherish you for all of my days.
These promises are made with love, kept in faith and eternally made new.
I will be proud to be your wife.

RINGS:

The ring has come to symbolize marriage in our society. This is appropriate. For the ring is a perfect circle. In that it has no end, it symbolizes the eternal nature of this bonding. In that it is made of metal, it symbolizes the strength of the bond between____and____. And in that they are made of a precious material, it symbolizes the priceless nature of what____and____share.

____,would you place the ring on ____'s finger and say,

"With this ring, I thee wed. With this ring, I give you my heart for I have no greater gift to give."
(Repeated by both Bride and Groom)

As you,____and____, have announced to God, His creation and the witnesses assembled here that you have now become one, as you have exchanged sentiments and rings and as the witnesses have accepted this joining and their responsibility for supporting you in this relationship, it is my pleasure to pronounce you husband and wife...

You may kiss to seal your vows.....
