We would like to thank you for your inquiry regarding our wedding services! This welcome letter will hopefully help you with a few of the issues and questions you may have as you plan this most important day...your wedding!
First of all, we have dozens of ceremony samples that you may request. You are welcome to use, change, or modify them to suit your needs. You may cut and paste or compose your own wording, including spoken vows. Some couples (especially Grooms!) prefer not to say a lot of things and if that is the case, your promises to each other can be in the form of some questions that we will ask you. (Hint; the answer to these questions is "I Do!) With your spoken vows or anything else that you might be saying to each other, we will gently lead you through your words, even two at a time if need be! We are on your side when it comes to stage fright or fear of public speaking! You can have your vows written on a card or decorative paper, perhaps in a scroll that you would unfold and read to each other. You could even place your vows on a poster board (like a TV cue-card) and have your best man and maid of honor hold them up for you to read! After the wedding, they could be framed and hung up in your new home! We are very flexible in this regard.
.
Now a couple of items regarding your marriage license (for your ceremony to be legal, you will need one of those things!). Contact the city/town clerk for your town (usually the bride's place of residence) within 90 days of your wedding date. If neither the bride or groom are RI state residents, you must apply for the license in the city/town where the ceremony will take place. We will be returning your completed license to the appropriate office the business day following your wedding ceremony, either in person or by certified mail. If you are planning on traveling afterwards by any mode of travel that requires identification, be aware that you won't be able to prove you are now Mrs. or Mr. (New Name), so make sure you get those tickets in your maiden name! At the time you apply for your marriage license, ask the clerk to explain to you how you may acquire your certified copy. The following information concerns marriage laws to get your license:
Our fee is $225.00 (please inquire about our special winter rates).*If a rehearsal is required, there is an additional fee of $50.00... A deposit of $125.00 (non-refundable) is required upon confirmation that either Rev. Paula or Rev. Joan will officiate your wedding. This "locks" in the time and date for us both. Your date will not be reserved until your deposit is received. The remainder of the fee is due the day of the wedding, usually presented to the Reverend by the best man (as the bride and groom are pretty well occupied!). Final payments can be made in the form of cash, cashiers checks or money orders. Althoughwe doaccept personal checks fordeposits, we currentlydo not accept personal checks for final payment.

When necessary, we will make every attempt in good faith to reschedule and work with you in every way we can.
We are always available to answer your questions and remember, the only silly question there is, is the one you do not ask! Rev. Paula can be reached through her cell phone 24/7 at 401-359-0210. From This Moment On--Shania Twain
(I do swear that I'll always be there.
I'd give anything, and everything. And I will always care.
Through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow.
For better for worse, I will love you
With every beat of my heart.)
From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on
From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on
I give my hand to you with all my heart
I can't wait to live my life with you, I can't wait to start
